Low on Inspiration in Life?? …..Try something Unconventional!!!!

When we usually feel lack of Confidence and hunt for Inspiring words, it’s usually filled with cliché advises – “Don’t give up”, “Get over it” or “Always look on the bright side of life” to name a few..

While they’re all correct at the root, conventional thinking like this just doesn’t work anymore. In fact, they are so trite and used so often that the message is lost to most of us. Its the time that we think some crazy and unconventional ideas to get INSPIRED…

I put a thought and found that following could be few of numerous ideas by which we could motivate ourselves in various spheres of our lives….

  1. Build anticipation-Get Excited!!

This will sound hard, and many people will skip this tip. But it really works. If you find inspiration and want to do a goal, don’t start right away. Many of us will get excited and want to start today. That’s a mistake. Set a date in the future — a week or two, or even a month — and make that your Start Date. Get excited about that date. Make it the most important date in your  life. In the meantime, start writing out a plan. Because by delaying your start, you are building anticipation, and increasing your focus and energy for your goal.

  1. Post the Goal and HIT IT!!
Print out your goal in big words. Make your goal just a few words long, like a mantra (“GET FIT –Exercise 15 mins. Daily”), and post it up on your wall or refrigerator. Post it at home and work. You want to have big reminders about your goal, to keep your focus and keep your excitement going. A picture of your goal (like a model with sexy abs, for example) also helps!! 

  2. The Smaller the better…Start small

Sometimes the Smaller the Better!!!!If you are having a hard time getting started, it may be because you’re thinking too big. If  you want to exercise, for example, you may be thinking that you have to do these intense workouts 5 days a week. No — instead, do small, tiny, baby steps. Just do 2 minutes of exercise.

REMEMBER…. Baby steps are all what you NEED!!!

  1. Get some Life…..Stop being so damn serious!!!

Every one of us considers our job, our work as highest priority in life. The truth is; your work doesn’t matter nearly as much as you think it does. Sure, it might be important. People are potentially counting on you. There may be repercussions if you don’t get it done on time.

But for the love of God, let’s stop acting like if we don’t get it done, our entire self-image and world is going to fall apart.

Everything we build will eventually fall apart someday. Let’s stop acting as if everything is permanent. Let go. Relax. Create your art. Develop the artist in you!!

  1. Consume all ideas:

New movies, new stories, new political opinions, new theories, without judging. Not personally—you’ll still have preferences and things you believe and don’t believe—but for the sake of what they might inspire. Try reading a genre you’ve never read before (romance novels, the sports section, Fortune magazine, a feminist essay), watching a type of movie you’d never otherwise watch. People start liking or doing things that they have earlier perceived as not their liking.

  1. It’s Time to Groove….Move your body!!

Yes, seriously. Energy gets stuck in our bodies and our creativity gets stifled when we become rigid and stuck in the same postures.

Need more ease in your work? Try yoga or dance. Get your energy flowing, but don’t shake it off. Channel it into your work.

  1. Stop Watching the News

The media has the biggest influence on our society. Unfortunately what I felt lately that they are contributing to the crisis in our world in a negative manner.

Try and Find your own news, rather, delve into the stories of inspiration and hope in your environment. The saddest aspect about our world is that we focus too much on the negative and not enough on the solutions to change it to positive. Once the media starts contributing to the greater good of our world, we will start to change for the better.

  2. Care to Share!!! Wise men have always said that exchanging thoughts and sharing knowledge is the biggest trait of Mankind. Good ideas from multiple sources could always be merged to form new, better ideas….so why hesitate??Share online and offline. Call your friends and talk about things, share your experiences and hear theirs. Aren’t you inspired yet to share?

“Waha ki Dhoop bhi achi lagti thi
Yaha ke AC me bhi aaram nahi hai…

Waha Ghaas pe baithna bhi acha lagta tha
Yaha Recliners pe bhi chain nahi hai..

Waha ki Chai bhi meethi lagti thi
Yaha ki to Cappuccino me bhi mithas nahi hai

Wo JEANS aur TShirt me ek confidence tha..
Aaj FORMAL me bhi comfort nahi hai

Wo BLACK SHOES me jo baat thi
Woh aaj ADIDDAS aur NIKE me nahi hai…

College Bus ki aakhri seat pe baith ke Gaaye hue Gaano ki jaise ab Dhun bhi yaad nahi hai
Ab bas saamne ek Computer Screen hai aur hasne layak koi mazak nahi hai…..

Ek Jhuthi Muskurahat liye hum jaise jee rahe hai
Zindagi ka har Ghum ko Office ke kaam ke saath pee rahe hai…..

Subah ka ek Message: “Aaj nahi chalte yaar”
Ab: “Its already 9.30 where are u??” me badal gaya hai……

Pehle jiss hasti ko lagbhag pura College janta tha
Aaj wo ek Cubical me simat ke reh gaya hai…..

Pehle ek dusre ki party me jaise bill badhane jate the
Aaj ki Parties me thodi si Khushiyaan paane jate hai……

Pehle Best Friends B’day pe cake na laye to gussa ho jate the
Aaj to Best Friends se B’day pe mil bhi nahi pate hain……

Woh College group ki ladaiya jo agle din hi bhul jaate the
Aaj Manager aur Subordinate ki jung me tabdeel ho gayi hai

Exam hall ki “Bas ek line bata de yaar”
Wo ek line ab Google pe bhi nahi milti hai…..

Pehle jinhe ghanto baith ke hasate the
Aaj unse jee bhar ke baat karne ka bhi time nahi hai

Pehle jinse mile bina din nhi kat ta tha
Aj unke bina zindagi kaat rahe hain……

Wo Mid-Sem me ek shabd bhi na likhne ki azadi
Aaj jaise badi badi Excel sheet update karne ki majburi me badal gayi hai

“Tune kitna padha plz mujhe bhi padha de yaar” yaha koi nahi sunta
“I have done my work please review it” hi hamari favorite line ban gayi hai……..

Dil kehta saari bandishe tod ke wapas chala jaau….
Ek baar fir apne school or college me wapas laut jaau..!!   🙂

Keep Smiling!!! 🙂

Can India ever become a World Power ???

I often wonder about my nation – INDIA, the power it holds and the potential it possesses. We are aware of what it is capable of and  what needs to be improved in order to meliorate its position among global powers.

Recently I came across an article in The Economist which argues about willingness and potential of INDIA to hold fort among great powers of the World..I feel the urge to share its major excerpts..

So Here it goes….

NOBODY doubts that China has joined the ranks of the great powers: the idea of a G2 with America is mooted, albeit prematurely. India is often spoken of in the same breath as China because of its billion-plus population, economic promise, value as a trading partner and growing military capabilities. All five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council support—however grudgingly—India’s claim to join them. But whereas China’s rise is a given, India is still widely seen as a nearly-power that cannot quite get its act together.

That is a pity, for as a great power, India would have much to offer. Although poorer and less economically dynamic than China, India has soft power in abundance. It is committed to democratic institutions, the rule of law and human rights. It is confident and culturally rich. If it had a permanent Security Council seat (which it has earned by being one of the most consistent contributors to UN peacekeeping operations) it would not instinctively excuse and defend brutal regimes. With its enormous coastline and respected navy (rated by its American counterpart, with which it often holds exercises, as up to NATO standard) India is well-placed to provide security in a critical part of the global commons.

Yet India’s huge potential to be a force for stability and an upholder of the rules-based international system is far from being realized  One big reason is that the country lacks the culture to pursue an active security policy. Despite a rapidly rising defense budget, forecast to be the world’s fourth-largest by 2020, India’s politicians and bureaucrats show little interest in grand strategy. The foreign service is ridiculously feeble—India’s 1.2 billion people are represented by about the same number of diplomats as Singapore’s 5 million. The leadership of the armed forces and the political-bureaucratic establishment operate in different worlds. The defense ministry is chronically short of military expertise.

Indispensable India

But the lack of a strategic culture comes at a cost. Pakistan is dangerous and unstable, bristling with nuclear weapons, torn apart by jihadist violence and vulnerable to an army command threatened by radical junior officers. Yet India does not think coherently about how to cope. The government hopes that increased trade will improve relations, even as the army plans for a blitzkrieg-style attack across the border. It needs to work harder at healing the running sore of Kashmir and supporting Pakistan’s civilian government.

China, which is increasingly willing and able to project military power, including in the Indian Ocean, poses a threat of a different kind. Nobody can be sure how China will use its military and economic clout to further its own interests and, perhaps, put India’s at risk. But India, like China’s other near neighbors  has every reason to be nervous. The country is particularly vulnerable to any interruption in energy supplies (India has 17% of the world’s population but just 0.8% of its known oil and gas reserves).

Image

India should start to shape its own destiny and the fate of its region. It needs to take strategy more seriously and build a foreign service that is fitting for a great power—one that is at least three times bigger. It needs a more professional defence ministry and a unified defence staff that can work with the country’s political leadership. It needs to let private and foreign firms into its moribund state-run defense industry. And it needs a well-funded navy that can become both a provider of maritime security along some of the world’s busiest sea-lanes and an expression of India’s willingness to shoulder the responsibilities of a great power.

Most of all, though, India needs to give up its outdated philosophy of non-alignment.

Making its shift more explicit, by signing up with Western-backed security alliances, would be good for the region, and the world. It would promote democracy in Asia and help bind China into international norms. That might not be in India’s short-term interest, for it would risk antagonising China. But looking beyond short-term self-interest is the kind of thing a great power does.

That India can become a great power is not in doubt. The real question is whether it wants to.     – The Economist

Love for the Coffeeee!!

Recently started drinking coffee and have always settled for a cup of cappuccino or is it just an indisposition to try anything new taste?? Everyone of us can find plenty of CCD’s and Barista in our vicinity for a quick cup of coffee…!!Luckier are those who happens to find Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf  or Costa….(Ofcourse u can tell d difference :P)

For newbeeess…it might be quite trivial to find the ONE coffee which might be just right for them from a long list of Alien-looking names on menu list!!! 😛

Anywaysss…..here is some quick guide about widely used and commonly consumed coffees :

Black coffee: A drip brew, percolated or French press style coffee served straight, with no milk.

Cafe Breva: A cappuccino made with half and half milk, instead of whole milk. The theory is that the mix gives a richer, creamier flavor. You should be aware, before trying this for yourself, that half and half is much harder to foam.

Caffe Latte: Essentially, a single shot of espresso in steamed (not frothed) milk. The ratio of milk to coffee should be about 3:1, but you should be aware that latte in Italian means ‘milk’, so be careful ordering one when in Rome.

Cafe Macchiato: A shot of espresso with steamed milk added. The ratio of coffee to milk is approximately 4:1.

Cappuccino: Usually equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and frothed milk, often with cinnamon or flaked chocolate sprinkled on top. Some coffee shops will add more milk than that so that the customer will get a bigger drink out of the deal, but that makes the coffee itself far weaker.

Indian (Madras) filter coffee: A common brew in the south of India, Indian filter coffee is made from rough ground, dark-roasted coffee Arabica or Peaberry beans. It’s drip-brewed for several hours in a traditional metal coffee filter before being served. The ratio of coffee to milk is usually 3:1.

Instant coffee (or soluble coffee): These grounds have usually been freeze-dried and turned into soluble powder or coffee granules. Basically, instant coffee is for those that prefer speed and convenience over quality. Though some prefer instant coffee to the real thing, there’s just no accounting for taste.

Mocha: This popular drink is basically a Cappuccino or Latte with chocolate syrup added to the mix. Sweeter, not as intense in coffee flavor, and a good ‘gateway’ coffee for those who don’t usually do the caffeine thing.

Flavored coffee: A very much ethnic tradition, syrups, flavorings, and/or spices are added to give the coffee a tinge of something else. Chocolate is the most common additive, either sprinkled on top or added in syrup form, while other favorites include cinnamon, nutmeg, and Italian syrups.

Frappe: A big favorite in parts of Europe and Latin America, especially during the summer months. Originally a cold espresso, it has more recently been prepared putting 1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee with sugar, water and ice. The brew is placed in a long glass with ice, and milk if you like, turning it into a big coffee milkshake.

Hammerhead: A real caffeine fix, this drink consists of a shot of espresso in a regular-sized coffee cup, which is then filled with drip coffee. Also known as a Shot in the Dark, although many cafes rename the drink further to suit their own needs!!   ( Really wanna try that too…Big Brother of Black coffee!! 😉 )

That’s enough for now….else gonna faint remembering all these names….Now enjoy some good coffees 🙂

Who'll wanna drink that beauty!! 🙂

A day @ Accenture !!!

Well…its been  3 weeks since i landed up in Hyderabad…n practically 19 days since our sumptuous banquet at The Westin Hotel and Taj Banjara …. 😛 All thanks to my employer for a really warm welcome!! 🙂

It all started off so well…never been able to adapt to or like any place quicker than this…Hyderabad Rocks~~~!!

As expected..work at my organization too began….and we were then officially the employees of a MNC!! Not gonna earn much though…but believe me …its a great feeling in itself!! 🙂 This was made even special as we were designated to be trained at Accenture Waverock campus…. okk..let me put some more emphasis on this thing…

This place is really charismatic….set amidst the rocky ranges providing a serene picturesque from its higher levels…Unremittingly evolving from rocks to Hyderabad’s IT hub!!

Training among several other new recruits was a nice experience …whole lot of talented homo sapiens!! As Accenture says : Best People for Best Job!! 😉 Though first few days were really theoretically boring …to which i often reacted by reaching the state of doldrums!! 😀 But the Break-out areas were the only relief for all relishing us with a vast variety of beverages!!
All went well untill Day 5 when i along with several others got inducted to the stream which we had never dream of getting into!! This was followed by real disappointments and shocks which all went unnoticed to higher authorities!!:(                                                   Moreover, our other 1 month was gonna spend in some third party training center…way below the accenture standards! 😦

Now,finally getting into my daily schedule of training at this under rated SITE center… our trainer is a real sweet guy..Typical representation of Gummy Bear or KUNGFU PANDA !!! 😛 He looks more of a Hotel manager then a testing trainer ; asking for our requirements! ! All seemed rosy as he started off well…But soon as days passed …things began to fly way above my head hard even to catch a glimpse of it ..as he tried to push even more theory into our minds!!! uff…. 😦

And Soon….in No time i became from THIS :

A Happy Guy!!

TO….

A SleepyHead!!

Insufficient Night sleeps were fulfilled by short naps during the training !!!

Rest is all History….that’s all i could remember!! But always keep wishing myself….. HAPPY STUDYING!! 😛

Its nothing special for us coz:

It’s not where you started, it’s where you are going that matters, just another day at office for high performer!!

Accenture  : High Performance..Delivered!! 😉

Amazing!! Google Introduced Voice Search for Desktop PC!!

Google Voice Search service has been officially announced for desktop PC by Google. With Google Voice Search you can talk instead of type to search on google.com. All you need is Google Chrome 11 or higher and a built-in or attached microphone. Google is rolling out this Voice Search feature gradually for every Google Chrome user on Windows, Linux and Mac OS (maybe it will be available for Firefox and Internet Explorer user too).

Well, if you use , here is a great feature which will allow you to search several search engines by speaking. The called Voice Search is an experimental add-on which allows you to search Google or any other search engines by speaking out the words you want to search.

This is a really amazing add-on and goes on to show the capabilities built into Google Chrome.  Of course, the extension is not perfect and does not recognize all the words, however, once fully developed it would become a really good way to type text without having to use the keyboard.

Voice Search comes pre-loaded with the following default services: Google, Wikipedia, YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Wolfram|Alpha. You can also add your own user-defined search engines. It also integrates a speech input button for all websites using HTML5 search boxes, all of the default search engines’ websites, Facebook, Twitter, reddit, and GitHub.

How to enable Google Voice Search: If you want to experience Google Voice Search right now, download and install Google Chrome Browser and go to Google Experimental page. In the ‘Voice Search’ label click the ‘Join this experiment’ button to enable the Google Voice Search feature for you. Now visit google.com and you will notice a mic icon in the Google Search box. Click on it and speak into your microphone (Available English only) to start your Google Voice Search.

Note: You can join only one Google experiment at a time. If you want to experience other Google Search experiment and still want the Google Voice Search feature, you can try Google Voice Search for PC and MAC with a Chrome extension.
